Acceptable Use Policy

athna is for making content. Almost anything a creator does is fine. This is the list of what isn't. It's part of the Terms of Service; breaking it can get content removed or an account closed, as section 8 of the terms describes.

Don't publish what's illegal or harmful

Through athna, don't create, store or publish content that:

• breaks the law where you are or where your audience is;
• is someone else's (their video, their music, their words, their likeness) without the right to use it;
• sexualizes minors, in any form, ever. We report this;
• threatens, harasses, doxxes or incites violence against a person or a group;
• is designed to deceive: impersonating a person or a brand, deepfakes presented as real, scams, fake giveaways;
• contains malware, or links to it.

Don't game the accounts you connect

Every service you connect has its own rules. Follow them through athna as you would directly. In particular, don't use athna to:

• publish the same thing to the same account over and over, or flood an audience;
• buy, trade or automate fake followers, likes, views or comments;
• get around a rate limit, a ban, or a restriction a service has put on you;
• publish to an account that isn't yours, or that you don't have permission to manage;
• send unsolicited direct messages in bulk.

If a service suspends you for something you did through athna, we can't get you back in, and we may disconnect the account on our side.

Don't abuse athna itself

• Don't try to get into other people's workspaces, or into parts of athna you haven't been given.
• Don't probe, scan or test the service for weaknesses without following the Security policy, which tells you how to do it, and welcomes it.
• Don't scrape, copy or crawl the product or the site with a script.
• Don't overload the service on purpose, or run anything on it designed to slow it down for everyone else.
• Don't resell access to athna, share one account between many people, or run someone else's brand out of your workspace as if it were yours, unless your plan allows it.
• Don't use athna AI to produce anything on this list, or try to get it to break its own rules.
• Don't use athna to build a competing product by systematically copying how it works.

What we do about it

Usually we email you and ask you to stop. If it's serious, or it's happening again, we remove the content or suspend the account, and we tell you why. If the law requires us to report something, we report it. If you think we've got it wrong, reply and a founder will look at it.
